Jag har märkt att det råder en utbredd uppfattning bland expats här i Playa del Carmen att Mexiko ligger lite bakom, och inte har tillgång till internet och modern teknik i samma utsträckning som vi har i den moderna världen. Vad gäller bokföringen har jag upptäckt att så inte är fallet. Jag har precis laddat ner, i pdf, alla "facturas Electronicas" för alla Guilty Monkey's inköp hittills, på Internet och med ett system så lätt att en apa skulle kunna göra det. För er som är nya till företagsvärlden i Mexiko, kanske dessa länkar kan vara till hjälp vid den kommande månatliga bokföringen.

There seems to be a wide-spread misconception among the expats in Playa del Carmen that Mexico is a pure paper pushing country with no or limited access to the modern age of internet, and that the technology enjoyed by the industrial countries of the western hemisphere has yet to arrive here. At least for the book keeping - this is not true. Paper-pushing bureaucracies like this have the advantage of having everything so neatly organized!  I have just finished downloading, in Pdf, all the "Facturas Electrónicas" for all of Guilty Monkey's purchases thus far, on the Internet and with a system so easy a monkey could do it. For those of you who are new to Mexico, you might find these links helpful for the upcoming monthly bookkeeping.

Factura for MEGA;

You find the tab for facturas electrónicas on the right hand side. Enter your RFC and follow the instructions on the screen. For MEGA, the number you will need from the receipt is located below the barcode.

 

Factura for Walmart;

The page says that you can only register facturas that are less than 1 week old but this is actually not correct, just go ahead and the system will find it. For Walmart you will need two numbers; the TC#, which is located above the barcode and the TR# which is located on top right side, above the list of products purchased. Then follow the instructions on the screen.

 

Factura for Office Depot;

On this page, start by filling in the ITU number which is located above the barcode. Then follow the instructions on the screen.

 

Factura for Chedraui;

You enter the Num. Ticket, which is the Folio number above the barcode.

 

Factura for Soriana;

The ticket number is located below the barcode.
