Earth. Wind. Fire.
Guess I was so caught in my excitement about the street market yesterday I forgot to tell you about this weekend's BIGGEST event. The highlight of the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival here in Playa on Saturday; Earth Wind & Fire. Absolutely magical. Imagine it; massive scene down at the beach with the waves rolling in... it was absolutely perfect, so perfect that I didn't even care that the rain was pouring down and that I therefore had wet sand just about everywhere, or that the whole town was there; 20,000 soaked fans between the ages 0 - 100, and I can't imagine how big the turn-out would have been had the weather been better, since the festival was free and we're talking about a legendary group that has existed for 40 years ... Btw, just read a blog claiming that the jazz festival next year has booked Sting, Prince and Stevie Wonder.... It was an amazing experience watching EWF live playing right next to the missing element! A memory for life.
